About the section
A child’s early years can have tremendous lifelong physical, social, and emotional impacts on their development. While positive experiences and environments can set up a young child on a stronger life-long path, traumatic experiences or environments during those formative years can have a long-lasting, detrimental impact.
Early childhood
Early childhood experiences from birth to age 8 affect the development of the brain’s architecture, which provides the foundation for all future learning, behaviour and health. There is no doubt that a strong nursery foundation will help children develop the skills they need to become well-functioning adults.
Nursery school
This is why our Nursery school is well sought after by parents within and outside our locality. As a school we can confidently boast of a warm and comforting environment , passionate teachers and staff and child friendly facilities.
Our classrooms
Our classrooms are structured around the child. Bookshelves and tables are all at the children’s level, enabling their easy access to what they need. We emphasise lots of reading time, arts and craft, music, dance and exploring the natural world and outdoor play. All of these are critically important to young children.
Our Success
In addition to laying the foundations of a solid education by exposing the children to reading and writing, we also engage the children in constructive play as a means of developing curiosity, problem solving skills and developing their fine and gross motor skills.
